Annemarie Hoogwoud is a photographer who lives and works in the north of the country, in Friesland. She is 15 years old when her neighbour takes her into his world of landscape photography. Since then, the camera has not left her life.
After completing her education at the Dutch Fotovakschool in Apeldoorn in the late 1990s, she followed various in-depth courses in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
Annemarie published two books. In 2018 ‘The Quest’, a personal photographic journey. Then ‘Time vanishes from the landscape’, her second book published in 2023 about how essential it is to maintain and restore the connection between people and landscape.
Annemarie exhibits in the Netherlands and overseas. Her work has been exhibited in in the Netherlands in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Ameland, Buren (GLD) and Friesland. Overseas she exhbited in New York (USA) and Whitstable (UK).
She continues to work on commission, gives artist talks and workshops.
